Article on the Beach Problem in Midland Free Press

In the Friday August 17 issue of the Midland Free Press, Douglas Hunter wrote a good article describing why the province should get involved in guaranteeing public access to our beaches.

For the next week it will be available at www.midlandfreepress.com  and follow the links   Inside Today/Editorial>Death, Taxes and Tiny beaches.

The article by Douglas Hunter is "right on the mark" concerning land ownership by devious means being employed by greedy people today. Not satisfied with enjoying the same "jewels" of nature like Balm Beach that we "common" folk have enjoyed for many many decades, these people who have erected a disgusting fence limiting access to a public thoroughfare which has been that way since inception. Of course their intention is to expand their ownership of property without legitimately paying for it by pushing the envelope of legislation governing an obscure "Right of Way" law which has been in effect since Canada was founded. In the end these unwanted and totally "mad" owners will have to remove this eyesore but not before the damage has been done to an otherwise surreal, beautiful little slice of paradise. Shame on you! Maybe these people should run for political office, they have all the qualifications to be involved in our corrupt political system at any level.
Good Luck Balm Beach!
